Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over the southern parts of the state will maintain a fresh and gusty
east to southeasterly flow over northern parts of the state for the next few
days. A cloud band is developing over the Kimberley and will slowly contract
north during Thursday and Friday. Late Saturday a tropical system will approach
the NW Cape, for more details see

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge is developing near the south coast and a high will move into the Bight
on Thursday. On Saturday the high will move east out of the Bight, and a cold
front will approach the SW Capes.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 20 May
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division and near the Eucla
coast. Patchy rain areas over central parts of the Kimberley. Isolated areas of
morning frost over parts of the Central Wheat Belt, and Goldfields.

Forecast for Thursday 21 May
Showers near the south coast. Patchy rain areas over the Kimberley, contracting
north during the day.

Forecast for Friday 22 May
Patchy rain areas over the north Kimberley, mostly clearing to the north by
evening.

Forecast for Saturday 23 May
Chance of a shower near the Southwest Capes, most likely in the afternoon and
evening.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
