Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A fresh and gusty east to southeasterly flow over northern parts of the state for the next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough near the west coast will move east during Friday ahead of a weak cold front that will move over the far southwest of the state during the morning . A ridge becomes established south of the state on Saturday. Another weak cold front will reach the SW Capes Sunday evening, and continue along the south coast during Monday. A ridge will develop in the wake of the front along the south coast late Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 15 May
Showers developing over the Southwest district in the morning and extending to areas southwest of Lancelin to Katanning to Hopetoun during the afternoon and evening. Some areas of smoke over the southwest.

Forecast for Saturday 16 May
Possible light morning showers over the South East Coastal district.

Forecast for Sunday 17 May
Possible showers over the South Coastal and southern parts of the South West district.

Forecast for Monday 18 May
Showers developing over the Southwest and Lower West districts in the morning and extending to remaining areas southwest of Jurien Bay to Narrogin to Israelite Bay during the day.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
