Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge will strengthen over the south of the state during Sunday, leading to fresh and gusty easterly winds in northern parts during the morning. The ridge will move east during Monday, but will rebuild over the south of the State during Tuesday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge will strengthen over the south of the State during Sunday. A trough will begin to develop near the west coast later Sunday before another weak cold front brushes the southwest coast on Monday, with the trough moving east. A new ridge will form well south of the State on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 10 May
Late showers possible about the Southwest Capes. Possible light showers or rain over the Gascoyne and adjacent southwest Pilbara. Morning frost possible in the western parts of the Great Southern and the adjacent South West district.
Forecast for Monday 11 May
Showers southwest of a line Mandurah to Katanning to Israelite Bay. Light falls anticipated.
Forecast for Tuesday 12 May
Light showers over Eucla coast, southern coastal parts and adjacent Great Southern district.
Forecast for Wednesday 13 May
Slight chance of a shower in western parts of the South West district.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
