Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge lies over central parts of the state and will drift towards the south
coast and strengthen over the weekend leading to fresh and gusty easterly winds
in northern parts during the morning.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front is brushing the south coast Friday morning. A ridge of high
pressure through central parts of the state will drift towards the south coast
over the weekend and strengthen as a high moves into the Bight on Sunday. A
trough will begin to develop near the west coast later Sunday before another
weak cold front brushes the southwest coast on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 8 May
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Eucla and the southern
Goldfields contracting to the south coast during the afternoon and evening.
Mainly light falls expected through inland parts.

Forecast for Saturday 9 May
Showers possible along the south coast.

Forecast for Sunday 10 May
Late showers possible about the Southwest Capes.

Forecast for Monday 11 May
Showers over southwestern parts of the Southwest Land Division.
