Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge lies over central parts of the state for the next few days. Easterly winds easing with afternoon sea breezes near the coast.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong cold front will cross the southwest of the state this evening and on Wednesday morning, with a deep low pressure system moving south of the State and gale force winds along southern coastal parts. A weak cold front will brush the south coast late Thursday and early Friday. A ridge of high pressure will develop along the south coast late Friday and Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 6 May
Shower, squally thunderstorms and small hail southwest of a line from Perth to Esperance, with damaging wind and possible dangerous gusts. The worst of this weather will contract towards the south coast during the morning then gradually ease.
Showers over the southwest Goldfields, and remaining parts of the South West Land Division apart from the northern areas, gradually easing from the north. Small hail possible in the south.
Afternoon thunderstorms and areas of raised dust possible over the eastern Eucla and adjacent South Interior.
Dangerous surf conditions over southern coastal waters and near the west coast south of Geraldton.

Forecast for Thursday 7 May
Showers about the south coast mostly west of Albany, and along the west coast south of Jurien Bay.

Forecast for Friday 8 May
Showers over south coast districts, and along the west coast south of Jurien Bay. Showers possibly extending to inland parts southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Israelite Bay for a period during the day.

Forecast for Saturday 9 May
Showers possible along the south coast.
