Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over southern parts of the state will move east over the next few days. Easterly winds easing with afternoon sea breezes near the coast.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front will move across southwestern parts of the state during Monday. Another stronger front will cross the southwest of the state later Tuesday and during Wednesday, with a deep low pressure system moving south of the State and gale to storm force winds along southern coastal parts.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 4 May
Showers and possible thunderstorms extending across the South West Land Division during the day, reaching areas southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Southern Cross to Esperance in the evening. Moderate falls possible southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay, grading to lighter falls further north and east.
Forecast for Tuesday 5 May
Showers southwest of a line from Carnarvon to Kalgoorlie to Eyre with possible squally thunderstorms through central and southern parts of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and the adjacent Eucla. Moderate to heavy falls in coastal parts grading to light over the Goldfields and northeastern South West Land Division.
Forecast for Wednesday 6 May
Showers southwest of a line Geraldton to Merredin to Norseman to Eyre, contracting to coastal and adjacent inland parts in the morning. Possible thunderstorms near the coast between Augusta and Israelite Bay. Gale to storm force gusty winds near the south coast. Dangerous surf conditions over southern coastal waters and near the west coast south of Geraldton.
Forecast for Thursday 7 May
Showers near the south coast mostly east of Albany and along the Eucla coast.
