Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over southern parts of the State will bring fresh and gusty easterly
winds during the next few mornings.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong high pressure system is located in the Bight and will continue moving
slowly eastwards over the weekend. A cold front will approach the far southwest
of the state during Sunday before moving across southwestern parts on Monday.
Another stronger front will cross the southwest of the state during Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 2 May
Mostly sunny across the state, apart from some morning thunderstorms near the
northwest Kimberley coast. Windy over northern parts in the morning.
Forecast for Sunday 3 May
Showers developing about western parts of the Southwest and the adjacent Lower
West districts in the afternoon and evening.
Forecast for Monday 4 May
Showers and possible thunderstorms extending across the South West Land
Division during the day, reaching areas southwest of a line from Kalbarri to
Southern Cross to Esperance in the evening. Moderate falls possible southwest
of a line from Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay, grading to lighter falls further north
and east.
Forecast for Tuesday 5 May
Showers southwest of a line from Denham to Kalgoorlie to Eyre with possible
squally thunderstorms through central and southern parts of the South West Land
Division, southern Goldfields and the adjacent Eucla.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
