Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough is expected to persist near the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts over the next few days, however it will push off of the eastern Pilbara and southwest Kimberley coast for a period on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday mornings.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front will brush the south coast Saturday morning. A ridge will develop along the south coast in the wake of the front late Saturday. Late Monday another weak cold front will reach the SW Capes. During Tuesday morning the cold front will move along the south coast and will then be followed by a high pressure system that will move south of the Augusta during the evening.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 25 April
Patchy rain through the southern Gascoyne, Central West, Central Wheat Belt and the Goldfields. Showers over the remaining South West Land Division, clearing east by evening. Chance of thunderstorms over the northern Goldfields, inland Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, South Interior, and Eucla.
Forecast for Sunday 26 April
Showers about the south coast, and Eucla. A chance of a shower or thunderstorm about the Southern Interior.
Forecast for Monday 27 April
Chance of showers or thunderstorm over the east Gascoyne, Goldfields and Interior. Chance of evening showers near the western south coast.
Forecast for Tuesday 28 April
Showers about the southern parts of the State and the Lower West District.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
