Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough lies over the inland Kimberley and Pilbara and will
move through the central Pilbara and North Interior on Sunday and Monday and
re-establish over the over the inland Kimberley and Pilbara on Tuesday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough over central parts of the State will move east ahead of a cold front
that will cross the south of the State today. A new ridge will extend from the
Central West district through to the South Interior in the wake of the front.
Another weaker front will brush the south coast later Monday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 19 April
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the far northwest Kimberley. Showers
over the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and western Eucla with a
chance of thunderstorms near the south coast west of Albany.
Forecast for Monday 20 April
The chance of showers over the western Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, far
northern Goldfields and the southwest Interior. Showers about the west coast
south of Lancelin and along the south coast and adjacent parts west of Bremer
Bay.
Forecast for Tuesday 21 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley. Possible showers and
thunderstorms over the southern Pilbara, Gascoyne and adjacent Goldfields late
in the day. Showers southwest of Lancelin to Bremer Bay with a slight chance
about the Esperance Coast.
Forecast for Wednesday 22 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley. Possible showers and
thunderstorms over the southern Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, northeast
Goldfields, southwest Interior and eastern Eucla.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
