Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough lies over the inland Kimberley and Pilbara and will remain near stationary on Friday and Saturday. The trough will move through the central Pilbara and North Interior on Sunday and Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over the south of the State with a trough near the west coast. The trough deepen and move eastwards during Saturday and Sunday ahead of a cold front that will cross the south of the State from late Saturday through Sunday. A new ridge will extend from the Central West through to the South Interior in the wake of the front by early Monday morning.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 17 April
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the far west and north Kimberley, southern Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, far northern Goldfields, South Interior, northern Central West and the far northeast Central Wheat Belt district.

Forecast for Saturday 18 April
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the far northwest Kimberley, southern Goldfields, western Eucla and northeastern parts of the South West Land Division, Showers developing over remaining areas of the South West Land Division south of Lancelin.

Forecast for Sunday 19 April
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the far northwest Kimberley. Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and the Eucla with a chance of thunderstorms over the southern Eucla and also the south coast west of Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Monday 20 April
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the far northwest Kimberley, eastern Gascoyne, far northern Goldfields and the western Interior. Showers along the south coast and adjacent parts west of Bremer Bay.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
