Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough extends through the Pilbara and North Interior and will contract north to the Kimberley over the weekend. The trough will move offshore from the western Pilbara for a period during the morning over the next few days.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is building rapidly well south of the State. During Saturday a trough will develop offshore from the west coast. The trough will deepen on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 4 April
Showers and thunderstorms about the north Kimberley. Light showers about the south coast.

Forecast for Sunday 5 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley. Showers with the chance of a thunderstorm over the Gascoyne, inland Central West, district and northern parts of the Central Wheat Belt. Light falls anticipated.

Forecast for Monday 6 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, western Interior, inland Gascoyne and far northern Goldfields.

Forecast for Tuesday 7 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara, northern Interior and northeast Gascoyne.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
