Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough extends through the Kimberley and Pilbara and into the North Interior. The trough will move offshore from the western Pilbara during morning periods over the next few days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over the south of the State. A broad trough lies central parts of the South West Land Division and remain almost stationary through to Wednesday before moving east on Thursday as a weak cold front skims the south coast.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 30 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley. Light showers along the south coast between Cape Leeuwin and Albany and over the western Central Wheat Belt and Great Southern. Possible evening showers and thunderstorms over the northern and western Goldfields and adjacent parts of the Gascoyne, South West Land Division and South Interior.
Forecast for Tuesday 31 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley. Showers and thunderstorms over the South Interior, Goldfields and Eucla and adjacent South West Land Division, contracting east during the afternoon. Showers about coastal and adjacent parts between Cape Naturaliste and Bremer Bay.
Forecast for Wednesday 1 April
Showers about coastal and adjacent inland parts from Cape Naturaliste to Bremer Bay. Possible morning shower or thunderstorm over the far eastern Interior. Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley.
Forecast for Thursday 2 April
Showers and thunderstorms about the central and east Kimberley. Shower about near southern coastal parts from Cape Leeuwin to Hopetoun and along the west coast south of Perth.
Forecast for Friday 3 April
Showers and thunderstorms about the north Kimberley. Shower about near southern coastal parts east of Walpole.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Tuesday.
