Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough lies inland from the Pilbara coast, pushing offshore from the western Pilbara coast over the next few mornings.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies over southern parts of the State with a trough developing through central parts today. The trough will move east and deepen on Sunday ahead of a weak front that brushes the southwest. A new ridge will develop near the south coast on Monday and Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 28 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior and north and east Gascoyne and the Goldfields.

Forecast for Sunday 29 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, northern Gascoyne and the far northern Goldfields. Moderate to heavy rainfall possible about the north Kimberley coast. Showers developing about the southwest Capes during the morning and extending to coastal and adjacent parts between Lancelin and Bremer Bay during the day.

Forecast for Monday 30 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern and central Interior and the far northern Gascoyne. Chance of a morning shower over eastern parts of the South West Land Division and the adjacent Goldfields.

Forecast for Tuesday 31 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara and the northern Interior.

Forecast for Wednesday 1 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior and northeast Gascoyne with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the Goldfields.
