Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the Kimberley and Pilbara.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge lies to the southeast of the state, with a deepening
trough extending from the inland Gascoyne down the west coast. The trough will
move east during Saturday evening and Sunday and lie from the Gascoyne to the
Eucla by Monday. A new trough will develop near the west coast on Monday as a
weak cold front brushes the western south coast. This trough will deepen
through the Goldfields as it moves eastwards on Tuesday as another front moves
over the southwest of the state Tuesday night and on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 16 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley, Pilbara,
western Gascoyne, and Central West during the afternoon and evening.
Forecast for Sunday 17 November
Showers and thunderstorms about coastal parts of the western Pilbara, western
Gascoyne, northern parts of the Central West, northeast Central Wheat Belt and
the southern Goldfields, most likely in the afternoon and evening.
Forecast for Monday 18 November
Showers and thunderstorms about coastal parts of the Kimberley, western
Pilbara, central Gascoyne, eastern Central Wheat Belt, Goldfields and the
western Eucla, most likely during the afternoon and evening. Showers along the
south coast.
Forecast for Tuesday 19 November
Showers and thunderstorms near coastal parts of the Kimberley, central Pilbara,
eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Eucla and adjacent parts of the South
West Land Division. Showers over the remaining south coast.
Forecast for Wednesday 20 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley, northeast
Pilbara, and the southern Interior. Showers over southern parts of the South
West Land Division, far southern Goldfields and the western Eucla.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Sunday.
