Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad surface trough extends from the west Kimberley towards the Interior with a secondary trough branch also extending towards the Pilbara. Little change to this pattern is expected over the coming days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough lies just inland from the west coast and a high pressure system lies in the Bight. The trough moves east on Monday as a weak front passes over the southwest corner of the State later in the day. A new ridge of high pressure will then develop over the southern WA on Tuesday. A cold front is expected to move over the southwest of the state on Thursday.

Showers and thunderstorms over the far eastern South Interior, clearing.
Forecast for Monday 30 September
Showers and the chance of a thunderstorms developing over the eastern and central South West Land Division in the afternoon and evening, contracting from the west in the evening. Showers developing from the southwest over areas southwest of a line Lancelin to Bremer Bay during the morning and afternoon.
Forecast for Tuesday 1 October
Early showers about the western south coast. Early showers and thunderstorms in the Southeast Coastal and far southern Goldfields.
Forecast for Wednesday 2 October
Showers developing over the Southwest district later in the day. Chance of a thunderstorm in the Goldfields.
Forecast for Thursday 3 October
Showers developing over most of the South West Land Division, more likely near the lower west coast. Thunderstorms possible in southern parts.
