Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad surface trough over the Kimberley as a ridge develops over the south of the State. A middle level disturbance is developing over the North Interior and adjacent Kimberley which will contract east on Tuesday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is developing over the south of the State. A high will move into the Bight on Monday before a trough develops near the west coast on Tuesday and begins to move inland.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 22 September
Showers near the southern and Eucla coasts, contracting to east of Esperance this evening. Rain and thunderstorms developing over the north Interior and adjacent Kimberley.
Forecast for Monday 23 September
Rain and thunderstorms over the northern Interior and adjacent Kimberley with moderate falls.
Forecast for Tuesday 24 September
Showers and thunderstorms over the northeast Interior and adjacent Kimberley clearing during the day. Showers developing near the coast between Cape Leeuwin and Walpole during the afternoon.
Forecast for Wednesday 25 September
Showers southwest of a line Yanchep to Bremer Bay. Light falls anticipated.
Forecast for Thursday 26 September
Morning showers clearing from the west coast. Showers about southern coastal districts and the Great Southern. Possible showers and thunderstorms through the eastern Goldfields, Eucla and adjacent South Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Monday.
