Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the west Kimberley into the central Pilbara and will
remain near stationary for the next few days.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough will move east during Thursday ahead of a strong cold front
that will reach southwestern parts of the State in the evening. On Friday, the
front will weaken while moving through the south of the State. A further two
cold fronts will push across the southwest WA, the first on Friday evening and
another on Sunday before a fourth cold front moves across the southwest on late
Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 29 August
Showers southwest of a line from Exmouth to Israelite Bay. Thunderstorms
possible southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay and the southern
Goldfields and adjacent South East Coastal district.

Forecast for Friday 30 August
Showers through the South West Land Division, contracting to southwest of a
line Geraldton to Esperance in the evening. Showers over the western and
southern Gascoyne, far west Pilbara, Goldfields, and Eucla, clearing the
Gascoyne and west Pilbara in the evening. Thunderstorms possible about the
southern Goldfields and Eucla and southwest of a line from Mandurah to Albany,
extending to be southwest of Perth to Bremer Bay in the evening.

Forecast for Saturday 31 August
Morning showers over the Eucla, South Interior, South West Land Division and
adjacent Goldfields, contracting to near southern coastal parts and easing
during the afternoon and evening. Hail possible over the coastal and adjacent
inland areas between Cape Naturalist and Albany.

Forecast for Sunday 1 September
Showers southwest of a line Geraldton to Bremer Bay in the morning and
extending to southwest of a line Kalbarri to Esperance in the afternoon and
evening. Thunderstorms possible over the South West, South Coastal and Great
Southern districts.

Forecast for Monday 2 September
Showers over the South West Land Division clearing to be southwest of a line
from Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay in the morning. Thunderstorms possible southwest
of a line from Perth of Bremer Bay.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Friday.
