Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over inland parts of the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts for the remainder of Tuesday. A cloud band develops about NW Cape and Gascoyne on Wednesday, and moves east into the central Pilbara and Interior on Thursday, before clearing during Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough over inland parts is moving eastwards ahead of an approaching cold front. The cold front will interact with a cloud band on Wednesday to produce
rainfall over a large part of the State. Rainfall easing from the west during
Thursday as a ridge develops over western parts of the State. Another cold front will move over the western and central parts of the South West Land Division during Friday before another ridge develops over central parts of the
state during Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 13 August
Showers over areas southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Esperance. Possible thunderstorms south west of a line Mandurah to Hopetoun.

Forecast for Wednesday 14 August
Showers and thunderstorms southwest of a line Shark Bay to Israelite bay. Possible heavy falls southwest of Geraldton to Southern Cross to Albany. Rain
areas developing over remaining areas southwest of a line Karratha to Eucla. Light falls expected.

Forecast for Thursday 15 August
Showers clearing from western and northern inland parts southwest of a line Exmouth to Eyre, but remaining over near coastal parts and lingering over southern coastal districts and the southern Goldfields. Possible thunderstorms
over southern parts early morning. Patchy rain in a band from Karratha to Eucla, moving east during the day.

Forecast for Friday 16 August
Patchy rain extending from the inland southeast Pilbara into the Interior, clearing during the day. Showers and possible thunderstorms developing about the SW Capes during the morning, extending to southwest of a line Kalbarri to
Esperance. Possible hail over far southwestern parts later in the evening. Widespread areas of morning frost over inland parts of the Southwest Land Division and southwest Goldfields.

Forecast for Saturday 17 August
Showers southwest of a line Carnarvon to Eucla. Hail and possible thunderstorms
over southern parts. Possible snow on the Stirling Ranges.
