Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure through central WA will gradually weaken over the coming days as a high pressure cell over the southeast of the Continent moves eastwards. A broad trough will develop over the Kimberley and Pilbara on Monday before shifting east on Tuesday and a new ridge of high pressure moves in from the west over central WA.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front will extend across the South West Land Division Saturday afternoon and evening but weaken as it moves inland. A ridge of high pressure lies through eastern parts of the State and will weaken over the coming days. A westerly flow will persist over southern parts on Sunday in the wake of the front. A broad trough and low pressure system will approach the southwest corner of the State on Sunday night, and will move slowly through the South West Land Division during Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 3 August
Showers southwest of a line from Geraldton to Bremer Bay extending throughout remaining parts southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Esperance in the evening. Possible thunderstorms about western parts of the Great Southern and adjacent South Coastal and Lower West districts.

Forecast for Sunday 4 August
Showers southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Bremer Bay, contracting to the Lower West, South West and adjacent Great Southern districts during the afternoon increasing near the southwest corner in the evening. Early showers about the South East Coastal and Goldfields districts.

Forecast for Monday 5 August
Showers through the South West Land Division and the adjacent Gascoyne and Goldfields. Possible thunderstorms southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Esperance.

Forecast for Tuesday 6 August
Showers through the South West Land Division and the adjacent Gascoyne and Goldfields, though mainly about coastal parts. Thunderstorms through southeastern parts of the South West Land Division, adjacent Goldfields and Eucla. Early thunderstorms possible along the west coast south of Jurien Bay.

Forecast for Wednesday 7 August
Showers through southern and western parts of the the South West Land Division, contracting to the south coast in the evening.
