Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the southwest Kimberley and Interior, weakening on Sunday. A new ridge of high pressure will build over central parts of the State over the weekend.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong cold front is moving over the eastern parts of the State, followed by a pool of cold, unstable air. A ridge of high pressure will develop over central parts of the State during Saturday, with a weak onshore flow south of Perth. Another front begins to approach the southwest of the State on Sunday, moving across southern WA on Monday before a new ridge develops in its wake across the south.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 5 July
Showers across the South West Land Division, mainly near the coasts. Possible small hail in the south. Thunderstorms along the south coast between Denmark and Israelite Bay. Showers over the Eucla and southwest Interior.
Forecast for Saturday 6 July
Showers about western coastal parts south of Geraldton and over south coastal districts, extending into the western Great Southern for a period during the day. Showers clearing from the South Interior in the afternoon.
Forecast for Sunday 7 July
Showers over the Lower West, South West and adjacent Great Southern districts. Morning showers over coastal parts of the South East Coastal district.
Forecast for Monday 8 July
Showers over the Lower West, South West, southern Central West and adjacent Great Southern and Central Wheat Belt districts.
Forecast for Tuesday 9 July
Showers over the South West Land Division.
