Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad surface trough lies through inland parts of the Kimberley, extending offshore along the Pilbara coast.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A series of cold fronts will cross the southwest of the State through to Tuesday. A ridge of high pressure will lie over the southern parts of the State during Wednesday and Thursday, with a strong cold front approaching the SW Capes Thursday night, moving east across the southern parts of the State on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 15 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, central inland Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and southwest Interior. Showers over the Lower West and about the southwest Capes.
Forecast for Tuesday 16 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara, Interior and eastern Eucla. Showers over the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Wednesday 17 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and Interior. Showers about coastal parts between Geraldton and Israelite Bay.
Forecast for Thursday 18 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley,western Goldfields and eastern Pilbara, Gascoyne and South West Land Division. Showers developing about the South West and southern Lower West and adjacent parts during Thursday night.
Forecast for Friday 19 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, Eucla, Interior, eastern Pilbara and western Kimberley. Showers about the southwest Gascoyne.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Tuesday.
