Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A moderate to fresh east to southeasterly flow will push a surface trough offshore from the Pilbara coast during Monday morning. Tropical Cyclone Wallace, category 2, lies to the northwest of the Kimberley coast and will continue to move west to southwest over the next few days. For more information refer to the latest Tropical Cyclone information bulletin at http://www.bom.gov.au/cyclone/. By Tuesday a broad trough will lie over the north of the State.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure strengthens to the south of the State. A trough will develop off the west coast by Tuesday morning and move slowly inland on Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 7 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 8 April
Rain and squally thunderstorms with possible heavy falls over the northern Kimberley. Showers and thunderstorms over the remaining Kimberley and east Pilbara coast. Light drizzle over the southern Goldfields and adjacent South East Coastal district during the morning.

Forecast for Tuesday 9 April
Rain and squally thunderstorms with possible heavy falls over the northern Kimberley. Showers and thunderstorms over the remaining Kimberley and east Pilbara coast.

Forecast for Wednesday 10 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and Pilbara. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division, adjacent Goldfields and Gascoyne.

Forecast for Thursday 11 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the far north and western Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and eastern South West Land Division. Showers about southwestern parts of the South West Land Division.
