Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A moderate to fresh east to southeasterly flow will push a surface trough offshore from the Pilbara coast during Sunday and Monday morning. Tropical Cyclone Wallace, category 1, lies to the north of the Kimberly coast and is likely to move west to southwest over the next few days. There is a chance that the system is close enough to produce a period of gales and heavy rain over far northern and northwestern coastal parts of the Kimberley most likely this evening and during Sunday. For more information refer to the latest Tropical Cyclone Advice at http://www.bom.gov.au/cyclone/. By Tuesday a broad trough will lie over the north of the State.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak front will brush the south coast during Sunday, with a ridge of high pressure developing in its wake to the south of the State by Monday morning. A trough will develop off the west coast by Tuesday morning and move slowly inland on Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 6 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the central and northern Kimberley. Showers about the south coast west of Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Sunday 7 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley. Showers about the south coast west of Israelite Bay, mainly during the morning.

Forecast for Monday 8 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley and along the east Pilbara coast.

Forecast for Tuesday 9 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northern Pilbara.

Forecast for Wednesday 10 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and western Gascoyne, with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm over central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division and southwest Goldfields.
