Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge lies over the western Pilbara, with a trough from the western Kimberley
to the Interior. The trough extends to the western Pilbara coast from Friday,
lingering inland over the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A series of fronts are crossing the south of the State and will continue
tracking east. On Friday a ridge pushes over the west coast as another front
skims the southwest corner on Saturday, with the ridge strengthening in the
wake of the front.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 8 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the southern Gascoyne, northern and
eastern South West Land Division, southern and central Goldfields, Eucla and
Interior. Showers over the western Gascoyne and remainder of the South West
Land Division. Slight chance of a thunderstorm about the western south coast.
Showers and chance of a thunderstorm over the Kimberley. Windy at times over
western and central WA. Unseasonably mild over southern and western parts of
the State.

Forecast for Friday 9 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Eucla and Interior. Afternoon
showers over the northern and eastern Kimberley. Light showers over the South
West Land Division, mainly near the west and south coasts. Unseasonably mild
over southern and central WA.

Forecast for Saturday 10 October
Showers over the South West Land Division, most widespread south and west of a
line from Lancelin to Albany. Chance of an afternoon shower over the northern
Kimberley. Areas of morning fog over the inland northern South West Land
Division. Mild conditions persisting throughout southern and central WA.

Forecast for Sunday 11 October
Showers over the South West Land Division, most widespread about the lower west
coast and south coastal districts. Possible shower for the Gascoyne coast.
Possible showers and thunderstorms over the eastern Kimberley and eastern
Interior. Possible early fog over the inland Eucla and adjacent South East
Coastal District. Unseasonably mild temperatures continuing across southern and
western WA.

Forecast for Monday 12 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the eastern Interior and far southeast
Kimberley. Possible shower along the south coast. Possible early frost over the
far southern Central Wheat Belt and through the Great Southern. Mild conditions
persisting throughout southern WA.
