Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure extends across the north. A ridge developing
through central Australia will push the trough to the Kimberley and Pilbara on
Tuesday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extending from the Interior to the Eucla is moving east and will move
out of the state later Sunday. A weak high pressure ridge extends over southern
WA in its wake this weekend. A weak cold front will brush past the southwest
coast on Monday. Meanwhile, a trough developing over the Gascoyne on Monday
will extend along the west coast on Tuesday, moving inland on Wednesday ahead
of an approaching cold front.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 3 October
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Interior, northern and eastern
Goldfields, Eucla and far eastern Gascoyne. Possible heavy falls through the
South Interior. Chance of an afternoon shower over the Kimberley and far
eastern Pilbara, clearing in the evening.
Forecast for Sunday 4 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the eastern Interior, clearing in the late
afternoon. Chance of a shower over the north and east Kimberley and eastern
Eucla. Light showers developing west of a line Bunbury to Albany in the
afternoon and evening. Possible morning fog over the southwestern parts of the
South West Land Division.
Forecast for Monday 5 October
Light showers south of a line Lancelin to Bremer Bay, clearing in the
afternoon. Chance of an afternoon shower over the north and east Kimberley,
clearing in the early evening. Possible morning fog over the southern Interior,
eastern Eucla, and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Tuesday 6 October
Afternoon and evening shower and possible thunderstorm over the southern
Gascoyne, western Goldfields, northern and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division. Afternoon showers over the northern Kimberley. Chance of morning fog
over South East Coastal and adjacent Eucla.
Forecast for Wednesday 7 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over southeast Gascoyne, eastern parts of
Central Wheat Belt, southern and central Goldfields, South East Coastal, Eucla
and Interior. Showers developing south a line Lancelin to Bremer Bay in the
afternoon. Afternoon showers over the northern and eastern Kimberley.
