Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure will persist over the Kimberley and North Interior
for the remainder of the week. A trough will develop near the west Pilbara
coast from Thursday, weakening slightly over the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front will brush the south coast tonight, while a trough lingers
over central inland parts of the state. The trough will move eastwards across
the South Australian border on Thursday, followed by a brief ridge of high
pressure. A new trough will start to develop through inland Gascoyne from
Thursday, extending into the South West Land Division on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 30 September
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the far eastern Goldfields, Interior and
eastern Eucla. Light and drizzle showers over much of the South West Land
Division, contracting to the coasts in the evening. Chance of a shower about
the northern and western Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 1 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Interior and eastern Eucla. Light
showers and drizzle over the southern districts and along the west coast of the
South West Land Division, and about Shark Bay, clearing in the afternoon.
Possible morning fog over the far southern Goldfields, the adjacent South East
Coastal district and far Southern Interior and adjacent Eucla. Chance of
morning frost over the southwest Central Wheat Belt. Windy afternoon over the
Gascoyne coast.

Forecast for Friday 2 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Interior, northern Goldfields, inland
Gascoyne and the inland northern Central West district. Possible heavy falls
through the northern Goldfields, South Interior and inland Gascoyne. Chance of
an afternoon shower over the Kimberley. Possible morning fog in the northern
Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 3 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Interior, northern and eastern Goldfields,
eastern Eucla and far eastern Gascoyne. Possible heavy falls through the South
Interior, Eucla and eastern Goldfields. Chance of an afternoon shower over the
Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 4 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the eastern South Interior. Chance of a shower
over the north and east Kimberley and eastern Eucla. Possible morning fog over
the southwestern parts of the South West Land Division.
