Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the inland Kimberley and Pilbara and will persist for the
next few days. A weak ridge will extend over the western Pilbara from Monday
evening.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies over southwest WA with a connected low south of the state. The
trough is moving east as a ridge extends over the west coast. A cold front will
cross the southwest corner of the state overnight on Tuesday and extend across
the South West Land Division on Wednesday. A ridge will then dominate the
synoptic pattern for the remainder of the working week.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 28 September
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over eastern and southern parts of the South
West Land Division, the Goldfields, Eucla, South Interior, and southeast
Gascoyne. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the remainder of the inland
Gascoyne and the western Pilbara. Showers over remaining central and western
parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of an afternoon shower near the
Kimberley coast. Windy afternoon over central WA.

Forecast for Tuesday 29 September
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the South Interior, Eucla, northern and
eastern Goldfields, northeast Gascoyne, and inland Pilbara. Showers over the
southwestern South West Land Division, and in the afternoon about the Kimberley
coast. Possible morning fog through inland parts of the South West Land
Division and near the Kimberley coast.

Forecast for Wednesday 30 September
Showers and thunderstorms over the east Goldfields, central and southern
Interior, northeast Gascoyne, southeast Pilbara, and Eucla. Showers over the
South West Land Division, retracting to the coasts in the evening. Chance of an
afternoon shower about the Kimberley coast. Possible morning fog near the north
Kimberley coast, in the inland Central West, and in inland southeastern WA.

Forecast for Thursday 1 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the central and southern Interior, eastern
Eucla, and far north Goldfields. The chance of a shower about the south coast,
clearing in the afternoon. An afternoon shower over the north and west
Kimberley. Possible morning fog in the northwest Kimberley. Chance of morning
frost in the southern Central Wheat Belt and western Great Southern. Windy
afternoon over the Gascoyne coast.

Forecast for Friday 2 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the South Interior, north Goldfields, and
eastern Gascoyne, with showers extending into the western Pilbara. Afternoon
showers about the north Kimberley. Possible morning fog in the northwest
Kimberley.
