Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the Kimberley to the western Pilbara coast with a ridge
dominating inland parts. From Friday the ridge weakens, and the trough over
western Pilbara moves east for the start of the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extends down the west coast with a strong high pressure system moving
east out of the Bight. On Thursday the trough becomes mobile and moves east
ahead of a cold front crossing the South West Land Division Friday, reaching
Eucla by Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 15 September
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the eastern parts of the South West Land
Division, northern and western Goldfields, eastern and southern Gascoyne, and
South Interior, with the chance of showers and thunderstorms developing over
the remaining northern South West Land Division, remaining Goldfields,
southeast Pilbara and northern Eucla. An afternoon shower possible near the
north Kimberley coast. Windy at times across much of the state.

Forecast for Wednesday 16 September
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over the northern Goldfields, western
parts of the South Interior, central Pilbara, central and eastern Gascoyne, and
western and northern parts of the South West Land Division. An afternoon shower
over the north and west Kimberley. Morning fog possible about the Gascoyne
coast and northwest Kimberley. Warm over western parts of the South West Land
Division. Windy across much of the state.

Forecast for Thursday 17 September
Showers possible, mostly afternoon and early evening, over the western Pilbara,
inland Gascoyne, far southwest Goldfields and eastern parts of the South West
Land Division. Light showers developing about the South West Capes. Morning fog
possible about coastal areas of the Gascoyne and northern parts of the Central
West. Warm over the South West Land Division. Windy across much of the state.

Forecast for Friday 18 September
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, southwest
Goldfields and western Eucla, becoming more frequent about southwestern parts
of the South West Land Division. Chance of a thunderstorm near the west coast
south of Geraldton and over eastern parts of the South West Land Division,
southern and central Goldfields and far western Eucla. An afternoon shower over
the north Kimberley. Warm over southeastern parts of the South West Land
Division. Windy across much of the state.

Forecast for Saturday 19 September
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and western
Eucla, mostly morning and contracting to coastal parts between Cape Naturaliste
and Albany by evening. Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the remaining
Goldfields, southern Interior and remaining Eucla. Windy over southern parts of
the state.
