Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough has been pushed near to the Pilbara and Kimberley west coasts by
a ridge developing through central Australia. The ridge will move into the
Kimberley on Tuesday and confine the trough near to the Pilbara coast through
the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough sits over the Goldfields and Gascoyne as a high strengthens in the
Bight. The trough will reach the west coast on Tuesday, before moving back
inland later Thursday ahead of another cold front that will reach the South
West Land Division Friday morning.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 14 September
Light showers or drizzle over southern districts of the South West Land
Division. Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over the South Interior,
Eucla, Goldfields and far southeast Gascoyne. Isolated heavy falls possible
over the northeast Goldfields and South Interior. An afternoon shower possible
near the north Kimberley coast.

Forecast for Tuesday 15 September
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over northern and eastern parts of the
South West Land Division, the Goldfields, central and southern Interior, inland
Gascoyne and southeast Pilbara. An afternoon shower possible near the north
Kimberley coast. Morning fog possible over the northwest Kimberley. Windy
across much of the state.

Forecast for Wednesday 16 September
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over the northern Goldfields, western
parts of the South Interior, inland Gascoyne and western Pilbara. Light showers
and the slight chance of a thunderstorm over western and northern parts of the
South West Land Division. An afternoon shower over the north and west
Kimberley. Morning fog possible about the Gascoyne coast and northwest
Kimberley. Windy across much of the state.

Forecast for Thursday 17 September
Light showers and the chance of a thunderstorm over the western Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, southwest Goldfields and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division. Showers developing about the South West Capes. An afternoon shower
over the north Kimberley. Morning fog possible about coastal areas of the
Gascoyne and northern parts of the Central West. Windy across much of the state.

Forecast for Friday 18 September
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, Goldfields and
western Eucla. Chance of a thunderstorm near the Central West coast and over
the southeast Goldfields, eastern parts of the Southeast Coastal district and
western Eucla. An afternoon shower over the north Kimberley. Windy across much
of the state.
