Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak ridge sits over the Pilbara while a broad trough lies over the inland
Kimberley. The trough lingers from the Kimberley into the Interior through the
weekend while a new ridge develops across the Pilbara, and a west coast trough
develops inland of the Pilbara coast from Monday, extending south.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weakening ridge sits over WA with a stagnant trough over eastern parts. A
weak front will cross the South West Land Division on Saturday followed by
another weak front brushing the southwest coast later on Sunday. A west coast
trough extends south through inland parts on Monday, pushing over the western
waters on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 11 September
Showers and chance of thunderstorms over the South Interior and Eucla. Showers
possible near the north Kimberley coast this afternoon and early evening. Late
showers developing about the South West Capes.

Forecast for Saturday 12 September
Showers southwest of a line from Geraldton to Ravensthorpe and along the south
coast to Esperance, mostly clearing by evening. Gusty thunderstorms possible
about the coast between Busselton and Walpole in the early morning. Showers and
the chance of a gusty thunderstorm over the southern Interior, east Goldfields,
and Eucla. Afternoon showers over the north Kimberley. Morning fog possible
about and inland of the west coast between Dongara and Exmouth, and about parts
of the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts. Windy over southern parts.

Forecast for Sunday 13 September
Showers southwest of Mandurah to Albany. Showers and the chance of a
thunderstorm, mostly afternoon and evening, over the South Interior, northern
and eastern Goldfields, and Eucla. An afternoon shower over the north
Kimberley. Morning fog possible over the north Kimberley, South West Land
Division and adjacent parts of the Gascoyne, Goldfields, and Eucla districts.

Forecast for Monday 14 September
Light showers or drizzle over southern districts of the South West Land
Division. Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm over the South Interior,
Eucla, most of the Goldfields, eastern Gascoyne, and northeastern Central Wheat
Belt. An afternoon shower possible over the north Kimberley. Morning fog
possible about inland southern and western parts of the South West Land
Division, and the north Kimberley.

Forecast for Tuesday 15 September
Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm over much of the South West Land
Division, the northern Goldfields, central and southern Interior, east
Gascoyne, and southeast Pilbara. An afternoon shower over the north Kimberley.
Windy morning over the Interior and Eucla.
