Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A low pressure system over the North Interior extends a trough over the Pilbara
Coast. The low will slowly drift south over the next few days, decaying by
Thursday as a ridge develops over Central Australia from Wednesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
An inland low pressure system persists over the Interior as a strong high
pressure system drifts south of WA. The low will slowly move south and decay
from mid-week as the high continues moving east. A west coast trough may
develop on Thursday, ahead of the next cold front crossing the southern
districts during the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 8 September
Showers with areas of rain and the chance of gusty thunderstorms over the
Goldfields, Interior and Eucla. Heavy falls possible over the central and
southern Interior. Showers and drizzle over the South Coastal, South East
Coastal, and adjacent Great Southern districts, and the far east Gascoyne.
Chance of an afternoon or evening shower over the southeastern Kimberley. Windy
across central and southern parts of the state.

Forecast for Wednesday 9 September
Showers with areas of rain and the chance of thunderstorms over the Interior
and southeast Kimberley. Heavy falls possible over the central and southern
Interior. Showers over the Goldfields, Eucla, and eastern parts of the Gascoyne
and South West Land Division. Chance of an afternoon shower near the north
Kimberley coast. Windy over central and southern parts of the state.

Forecast for Thursday 10 September
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over the far east Goldfields, Interior,
northern Eucla and eastern Kimberley. Showers over the east Gascoyne, adjacent
Central Wheat Belt, the eastern South East Coastal district, and over remaining
parts of the Eucla and Goldfields. Windy over eastern parts of the state.

Forecast for Friday 11 September
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over the Interior, Eucla, east
Goldfields, and southeast Kimberley. Afternoon or evening showers possible near
the north Kimberley coast. Showers developing in the evening about the South
West Capes. Possible morning fog about the east Pilbara coast and the
Goldfields.

Forecast for Saturday 12 September
Showers southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Israelite Bay, retracting to the
west and south coasts in the evening. Thunderstorms possible about the coast
between Mandurah and Margaret River. Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm
over the southern Interior, east Goldfields, Eucla, and the eastern South East
Coastal district. Afternoon showers over the north Kimberley. Possible morning
fog about and inland of the west coast between Dongara and Exmouth.
