Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough across the Pilbara and southwest Kimberley is moving inland and will
weaken on Friday. A ridge over the Gascoyne will bring a brief southerly change
to western Pilbara on Friday. A new trough develops across western Pilbara on
Saturday and extends to the Kimberley on Sunday as it moves inland.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A moderate cold front will pass the southwest of the state tonight and move
east along the south coast on Friday. A stronger cold front will cross the
South West Land Division on Saturday night, transforming into a slow moving
trough and low pressure system across the Goldfields and South Interior from
Sunday until middle of next week. Meanwhile, a weak ridge persisting over
central WA will dissipate on Saturday. A new ridge will develop in the Bight
from Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 3 September
Light showers and drizzle south of a line from Geraldton to Merredin to
Norseman, and western parts of Eucla district. Chance of a shower or
thunderstorm over southern parts of South Interior and eastern Eucla. Light
shower possible in the afternoon about the north and northwest Kimberley coasts.

Forecast for Friday 4 September
Light showers and drizzle over the South West Land Division, adjacent southern
Gascoyne and southwest Goldfields, contracting to the south coast in the
afternoon. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over southern parts of the South
Interior and eastern Eucla. Chance of an afternoon shower about the north and
west Kimberley coasts. Possible morning fog about the north and west Kimberley
coasts. Windy across the southern districts, southern Goldfields and South
Interior, very windy at times about the south coast.

Forecast for Saturday 5 September
Showers over the western parts of the South West Land Division and western
Gascoyne. Chance of a gusty thunderstorm about the coast between Kalbarri and
Cape Naturaliste. Chance of an afternoon shower about the north Kimberley
coast. Possible morning fog over inland South West Land Division, adjacent
southern Gascoyne, southern Goldfields, western Eucla and northwest Kimberley.
Becoming windy about western Gascoyne, southwest Pilbara and Central West coast
in the late afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Sunday 6 September
Showers and areas of rain over the South West Land Division, Gascoyne,
southwest Pilbara, Goldfields, South Interior and Eucla. Chance of gusty
thunderstorms about west coast and inland southern WA. Heavy falls possible
over the Goldfields. Chance of an afternoon shower about the north Kimberley
coast. Possible morning fog over northwest Kimberley. Windy across much of the
state in the area south of northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 7 September
Showers and areas of rain over the eastern parts of the South West Land
Division, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, southern and central Interior and
Eucla. Chance of gusty thunderstorms over the Goldfields, adjacent eastern
Gascoyne, southern and central Interior, and Eucla. Heavy falls possible over
the Goldfields, southern Interior and eastern Eucla. Chance of an afternoon
shower about the north Kimberley coast. Possible morning fog over northwest
Kimberley. Windy across much of the state in the area south of northern
Kimberley.
