Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad slow moving trough lies over the Pilbara whilst a weak ridge over
central Australia extends into the eastern Kimberley and Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough is moving eastwards through the Eucla and South Interior. A ridge has
extended over the South West Land Division in the wake of the trough. Weak cold
fronts will move over southern districts on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by
a stronger front which will cross the South West Land Division during Saturday
and Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 1 September
Light showers over the southwestern Goldfields and northern Central West,
clearing by evening. Chance of an afternoon shower about the northeast
Kimberley coast. The slight chance of a shower about the coast between Augusta
and Albany in the evening.

Forecast for Wednesday 2 September
Light showers developing southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Israelite Bay,
and over the southeastern Goldfields and Eucla. Possible morning fog over the
northwest Kimberley. Chance of morning frost over the Great Southern.

Forecast for Thursday 3 September
Showers over southwestern parts of the south West Land Division, extending east
along the south coast later in the day. Chance of showers and thunderstorms
over the eastern Goldfields, southern South Interior and eastern Eucla.
Possible morning fog over the northwest Kimberley and over inland southern
parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 4 September
Showers over the South West Land Division, contracting to coastal parts in the
afternoon. Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the far eastern Goldfields,
southern South Interior and eastern Eucla. Chance of an afternoon shower about
the northern Kimberley coast.

Forecast for Saturday 5 September
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, southern
Goldfields, and western Eucla. The chance of a gusty thunderstorm about parts
of the west coast between Dongara and Cape Naturaliste. Chance of an afternoon
shower about the northern Kimberley coast. Possible morning fog over the inland
South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, and western Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Wednesday.
