Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge will remain over central Australia until early next week, directing an
easterly flow across the eastern parts. Meanwhile, a slow moving trough extends
from the west Kimberley into the Pilbara. Associated patchy cloud band will
contract to the Pilbara and central Interior on Saturday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough and associated low pressure system moving across the South West Land
Division will become slow moving over the Goldfields and Eucla tonight.
Associated cloud band will linger across eastern parts of southern WA until
later in the weekend. Meanwhile, a high pressure system developing in the Bight
from Friday will direct an easterly flow across southern and central WA from
Saturday, pushing the inland trough to the west coast by Monday. A cold front
will move through the southwest of the state during Monday, moving the west
coast trough inland again.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 27 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, Eucla, Interior and
northern and western Kimberley. Chance of thunderstorms across eastern parts of
the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, southern Interior and Eucla.
Chance of a shower over western Pilbara, southern and western Gascoyne, Heavy
falls possible over eastern parts of the Southern West Land Division and far
southern parts of the Goldfields. Windy about the south coast west of Israelite
Bay.

Forecast for Friday 28 August
Showers with the chance of thunderstorms over eastern parts of the Central
Wheat Belt, far southeast Gascoyne, South East Coastal, Goldfields, South
Interior and Eucla. Light showers and drizzle possible over remaining central
and eastern parts of the South West Land Division and southern Gascoyne. Chance
of a shower over southwest Kimberley and North Interior. Possible morning fog
across eastern Gascoyne and northern parts of the Goldfields. Windy at times in
the morning across North Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 29 August
Showers with the chance of thunderstorms over eastern parts of Central Wheat
Belt, southeast Gascoyne, Goldfields, South Interior, Eucla and South East
Coastal district. Light showers over remaining central and eastern parts of the
South West Land Division, remaining eastern and southwest Gascoyne, eastern
Pilbara and far southwestern parts of North Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 30 August
Showers with the chance of thunderstorms over the Goldfields, South Interior
and Eucla. Chance of light showers over central and eastern parts of the South
West Land Division and inland Gascoyne. Possible morning fog over southern
Gascoyne and inland parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 31 August
Showers developing over western and southern parts of the South West Land
Division. Possible morning fog over northern parts of the South West Land
Division and adjacent southern Gascoyne.
