Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge lies over central Australia and is slowly moving east. A trough
currently near the west Kimberley coast will extend south through central WA
from Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A slow-moving cold front is moving over southwest WA. The front will weaken and
combine with a trough over the Goldfields on Thursday as a ridge begins to
extend south of the state. The ridge will slowly move east on Friday and
Saturday with a weak west coast trough developing from Saturday afternoon.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 26 August
Showers southwest of a line Lancelin to Bremer Bay, extending to west of a line
Carnarvon to Merredin to Israelite Bay by midnight. Chance of thunderstorms
over western parts of the South West Land Division. Heavy falls possible about
southern parts of the Lower West and northern parts of the South West
districts. Slight chance of a shower in the north Kimberley. Fresh and gusty
winds through the inland Gascoyne, Goldfields and eastern South West Land
Division.

Forecast for Thursday 27 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern and western Gascoyne,
Goldfields, Eucla, Interior and northern and western Kimberley. Chance of
thunderstorms about the Central West coast, eastern South West Land Division,
southern and eastern Goldfields, southern South Interior and Eucla. Possible
heavy falls through western parts of the South East Coastal District. Chance of
a shower over the western Pilbara. Areas of morning fog over the northwest
Kimberley. Fresh and gusty winds about the west coast and western south coast.

Forecast for Friday 28 August
Showers with the chance of thunderstorms over far eastern parts of the South
West Land Division, the Goldfields, South Interior and Eucla. Showers possible
over remaining parts of the South West Land Division and southern Gascoyne.
Areas of morning fog in the northern Kimberley. Possible morning frost over
western parts of the Great Southern.

Forecast for Saturday 29 August
Showers with the chance of thunderstorms over the Central Wheat Belt, the
southeast Gascoyne, Goldfields, southern Interior and northern Eucla. Showers
also over central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division, remaining
eastern Gascoyne and southeast Pilbara. Fresh and gusty winds over the North
Interior and adjacent southern Kimberley in the morning.

Forecast for Sunday 30 August
Showers over the Goldfields and adjacent South Interior. Chance of a shower
over southern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division and inland
Gascoyne. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the northern Eucla. Possible
morning fog over western districts south of Carnarvon and over the South
Coastal district. Fresh and gusty winds over the North Interior and adjacent
southern Kimberley in the morning.
