Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the central Kimberley and extends back towards the Pilbara
coast, with a ridge in place to the south. The trough will begin moving into
the inland Pilbara from late Tuesday as the ridge begins to weaken. A cold
front and trough will pass through southern WA on Wednesday and Thursday as a
new ridge strengthens into the Pilbara from the west.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high over southern WA will move into South Australia on Tuesday. A
slow-moving cold front and trough will reach the west coast on Wednesday,
continuing into the eastern South West Land Division and Goldfields on Thursday
as a low pressure centre develops near the south coast. In the wake of the
front and trough, a new high pressure ridge will strengthen across the west
coast.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 24 August
Chance of a light shower coastal parts in the South West and eastern Eucla, and
over eastern parts of the Interior. Mainly clear through the Pilbara, western
Kimberley and Gascoyne with partly cloudy conditions for the remainder of the
State.

Forecast for Tuesday 25 August
Showers developing about the South West Capes, increasing in the afternoon and
extending to southwest of a line Lancelin to Bremer Bay by late evening. Slight
chance of a shower in the northeast Kimberley. Areas of morning fog over inland
western parts of the South West Land Division, adjacent southwest Gascoyne and
far northeast Kimberley. Patchy morning frost over the Great Southern, Central
Wheat Belt, southern Goldfields, inland parts of South East Coastal District,
Eucla and adjacent South Interior. Windy in the morning across the east
Pilbara, North Interior and southern Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 26 August
Showers southwest of a line from Shark Bay to Hopetoun, extending to southwest
of a line from Coral Bay to Leonora to Israelite midnight. Chance of a
thunderstorm over western parts of the South West Land Division. Some
possibility of heavy falls about southern parts of the Lower West and northern
and eastern parts of the South West. Slight chance of a shower in the north
Kimberley. Areas of morning fog over the far northern Kimberley, inland western
Pilbara, inland Central West and western Central Wheat Belt. Fresh and gusty
winds developing through the inland Gascoyne, Goldfields and eastern South West
Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 27 August
Showers over northern and western Kimberley, Interior, southern and western
Gascoyne, Eucla and South West Land Division. Chance of a thunderstorm the
eastern South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and adjacent South
Interior and Eucla. Possible moderate falls through the Great Southern and
South East Coastal District. Areas of morning fog over northwest Kimberley.
Fresh and gusty winds about the west coast and western south coast.

Forecast for Friday 28 August
Showers over the eastern South West Land Division, Goldfields, Interior and
Eucla. Chance of a thunderstorm over the South Interior, Eucla and eastern and
northern Goldfields. Areas of morning fog in the northern Kimberley.
