Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough over northern Kimberley will extend to the Pilbara tonight as a cloud
band develops. The cloud band will bring unseasonal patchy rainfall to parts of
the Kimberley and Interior on Friday and Saturday, clearing by Sunday. A ridge
through central Australia will continue to maintain an easterly flow in the
north for the remainder of the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad ridge of high pressure over southern WA will dominate the weather
pattern for the remainder of the week. A cloud band will develop through the
Interior tonight and bring patchy rainfall on Friday and Saturday, clearing by
Sunday. Becoming warmer across the South West Land Division on the weekend,
ahead of the next cold front arriving on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 13 August
Chance of a light shower or drizzle over Eucla and about the coast of South
East Coastal district.

Forecast for Friday 14 August
Showers over the Interior and southwest Kimberley. Chance of a thunderstorm
through central Interior. Chance of a shower or drizzle over the southern and
eastern Goldfields, Eucla and eastern parts of South East Coastal district.
Areas of morning frost over inland parts of the South West Land Division, Areas
of morning fog over inland parts of the South West Land Division, Eucla and
northwest Kimberley. Windy across North Interior in the morning.

Forecast for Saturday 15 August
Showers and areas of rain over eastern Eucla, Interior and most parts of the
Kimberley. Chance of a thunderstorm through central Interior. Possible morning
fog over the northwest Kimberley. Chance of morning frost over far southern
Goldfields and inland parts of South East Coastal district.

Forecast for Sunday 16 August
Shower possible in the evening about the northwest Gascoyne coast and about the
South West Capes.

Forecast for Monday 17 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, western and southern Gascoyne,
southern Goldfields and western Eucla. Chance of a shower over southwest
Pilbara. Chance of a thunderstorm about the Lower West coast and western coast
of South West district. Possible morning fog over the northwest Kimberley and
eastern parts of Eucla district.
