Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough across the Pilbara will move to the North Interior and weaken on
Saturday, with associated patchy cloud band dissipating by Sunday. A ridge
developing over the Gascoyne from late Friday will bring a fresh and gusty
southerly wind change to the Pilbara and North Interior on Saturday, extending
to southern Kimberley early Sunday. As the ridge expands into central Australia
next week, an easterly flow will return.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front will reach the South West Capes on Friday evening, moving across
the South West Land Division on Saturday morning before reaching the Goldfields
and Eucla on Saturday afternoon. A vigorous and cold southwesterly flow will
trail the cold front. A broad ridge will extend over central WA from Saturday,
maintaining a cold southwesterly flow across southern WA on Sunday. Another
cold front will move through southwest WA on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 7 August
Light showers over the Gascoyne, far southwest Pilbara, Goldfields, South
Interior, Eucla and inland parts of the South West Land Division, more
widespread across the western districts. Showers becoming frequent with chance
of gusty thunderstorms about South West Capes and Lower West coast in the
evening. Becoming windy near the southwest coast.

Forecast for Saturday 8 August
Gusty showers over the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, Goldfields,
South Interior and Eucla, more frequent about Lower West and South West
districts and south coast. Light showers possible over northern Gascoyne,
southern Pilbara and far southern parts of North Interior Chance of a gusty
thunderstorm over western and southern districts of the South West Land
Division, Eucla, adjacent South Interior and southeast Goldfields. Possible
morning fog over the west Kimberley. Snow flurries possible about the higher
peaks of the Stirling Ranges. Small hail possible over much of the South West
Land Division, southern Goldfields and along the Eucla coast. Windy across much
of southern and central WA, very windy along the southwest coast and south
coast.

Forecast for Sunday 9 August
Light showers or drizzle about the west coast, southern parts of the South West
Land Division, Eucla and far southern parts of Goldfields, more frequent about
the south coast. Small hail possible in the morning along the south coast east
of Esperance. Areas of morning frost through inland parts of the South West
Land Division, Goldfields, southern Gascoyne, western Eucla and western parts
of South Interior. Possible morning fog over the northwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 10 August
Showers across the South West Land Division, southern and western Gascoyne,
southern Goldfields and Eucla. Possible thunderstorms south and west of a line
from Geraldton to Bremer Bay. Possible small hail in the southwest corner.
Areas of morning frost through eastern Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, far
southeast Pilbara and South Interior. Possible morning fog in the far north
Kimberley. Windy along the west and south coasts.

Forecast for Tuesday 11 August
Light showers or drizzle about the west coast, southern parts of the South West
Land Division, Eucla and far southern parts of Goldfields, more frequent about
the south coast. Areas of morning frost through inland parts of the South West
Land Division, Goldfields and southern Gascoyne. Possible morning fog in the
far north Kimberley and western parts of the South West Land Division.
