Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the Kimberley and through the Pilbara. The western part
of the trough will slowly move east from later Wednesday as a high pressure
ridge moves over the west coast. A cloud band brings unseasonal rain to the
western Pilbara until Wednesday before the trough moves east.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front moves east along the eastern south coast today. Another weak front
will brush past the southwest coast on Wednesday, with a weak ridge briefly
forming over inland southern WA before weakening on Thursday ahead of the next
cold front later Thursday and Friday. A stronger cold front will move through
on Saturday followed by a vigorous southwesterly airstream.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 4 August
Patchy rain over the western Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, western and
southern South Interior and Eucla. Chance of a shower over western and southern
districts of the South West Land Divisions. Isolated thunderstorms over the
eastern South East Coastal District with the chance of a thunderstorm over the
eastern Central Wheat Belt, central and south Goldfields, western Eucla and far
west Pilbara.

Forecast for Wednesday 5 August
Showers over western Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, southern parts of South
Interior, Eucla, northern Central West district and southwestern parts of the
South West Land Division. Chance of morning fog over inland South West Land
Division, southeast Gascoyne, southern and central Goldfields and western
Eucla. Chance of morning frost through inland areas of the South West Land
Division and adjacent southwest Goldfields.

Forecast for Thursday 6 August
Showers over the inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, western and southern parts of
South Interior, Eucla, eastern parts of the Central Wheat Belt, eastern parts
of South East Coastal, and southwestern parts of the South West Land Division.
Chance of a thunderstorm about the southwest coast. Chance of morning fog and
frost over inland parts of the South West Land Division and southern
Goldfields. Chance of morning fog across southern Eucla, southwest Pilbara and
adjacent northwest Gascoyne.

Forecast for Friday 7 August
Showers over the Gascoyne, Goldfields, western and southern parts of South
Interior, Eucla, and South West Land Division. Chance of a thunderstorm about
the southwest coast, far north Eucla and far west Goldfields. Chance of morning
frost over eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of morning fog
across southwest Kimberley. Becoming windy along southwestern coastal parts.

Forecast for Saturday 8 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, with hail possible over southern
districts. Chance of a thunderstorm about west coastal parts south of Lancelin
and along the south coast. Showers also over the west and south Gascoyne,
Goldfields, southern South Interior, and Eucla, with the chance of a shower
over the far western Pilbara and remaining Gascoyne.
