Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A cloud band brings unseasonal rains to western Pilbara from Monday till
Wednesday, and again later in the week as a trough near the west Pilbara coast
slowly moves inland this week. An easterly flow will persist over the rest of
the area.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough approaches the west coast today in association with a cloud band. The
trough will move across the South West Land Division and Gascoyne on Tuesday,
ahead of a cold front along the south coast. Another weak front will brush past
the southwest coast, as a weak ridge briefly forms over inland southern WA on
Wednesday before weakening on Thursday ahead of the next cold front.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 3 August
Showers and chance of a thunderstorm over western Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern
and eastern parts of the South West Land Division and western Goldfields.
Showers developing in the evening over western districts of the South West Land
Division, with chance of a thunderstorm near the west coast south of Geraldton.
Windy at times over southern Gascoyne, eastern Pilbara and southwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Tuesday 4 August
Areas of rain and showers over the South West Land Division, Gascoyne,
Goldfields, western Pilbara, western and southern parts of South Interior and
Eucla. Chance of a thunderstorm over southwest Pilbara, southern and central
WA. Heavy falls possible over the southwest Pilbara and northwest Gascoyne.
Windy along the southwest coast.

Forecast for Wednesday 5 August
Showers over southern Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, southern parts of
South Interior, and western and southern parts of the South West Land Division.
Light showers and drizzle possible in the morning across inland South West Land
Division. Chance of morning fog over inland South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields and western Eucla. Chance of morning frost through inland areas of
the South West Land Division and adjacent southwest Goldfields.

Forecast for Thursday 6 August
Showers over Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, southern parts of South Interior,
eastern parts of the Central Wheat Belt, eastern parts of South East Coastal,
and southwestern parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of a
thunderstorm about the southwest coast. Chance of morning fog and frost over
inland parts of the South West Land Division and southern Goldfields. Chance of
morning fog across southern Eucla, southwest Pilbara and adjacent northwest
Gascoyne.

Forecast for Friday 7 August
Showers over southwest Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, southern parts of
South Interior, and South West Land Division. Chance of a thunderstorm about
the southwest coast and Eucla . Chance of morning frost over eastern parts of
the South West Land Division. Chance of morning fog across southwest Kimberley.
Windy along the coasts of the South West Land Division.
