Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A new ridge over southern WA from Saturday night will maintain an easterly flow
across the north. A trough will develop near the west Pilbara coast on Sunday,
with associated cloud band bringing unseasonal rains to western Pilbara from
Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front moving east along the Esperance coast dissipates later today.
A new high pressure system quickly moves east across southern WA on Sunday,
followed by a trough approaching the west coast on Monday in association with a
cloud band. The trough will move across the South West Land Division and
Gascoyne on Tuesday, followed by a cold front along the south coast. A weak
ridge will develop over southwest WA on Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 1 August
Light showers and drizzle over Central West, northeast Central Wheat Belt,
southwest Goldfields, western Eucla, South Coastal and South East Coastal
districts, contracting to the south coast east of Albany later in the afternoon
and evening. Windy about the south coast.

Forecast for Sunday 2 August
Chance of a light shower or drizzle in the morning along the south coast.
Morning frost over inland parts of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, western Eucla and South Interior. Chance of morning fog over inland
eastern parts of the South West Land Division and southern Goldfields.

Forecast for Monday 3 August
Showers developing over western Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern and western parts
of the South West Land Division and western Goldfields. Chance of a
thunderstorm near the west coast south of Geraldton in the evening. Morning
frost over Eucla. Windy at times over southern Gascoyne and eastern Pilbara.

Forecast for Tuesday 4 August
Areas of rain and showers over the South West Land Division, Gascoyne,
Goldfields, western Pilbara, western parts of South Interior and Eucla. Chance
of a thunderstorm over the Central West, Lower West and South West districts.
Windy along the south coast.

Forecast for Wednesday 5 August
Showers over western Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, South Interior, and
western and southern parts of the South West Land Division. Light showers and
drizzle in the morning across inland South West Land Division. Chance of
morning fog over inland South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and
western Eucla.
