Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Moderate to fresh east to southeasterly winds continue across the north as a
ridge sits over southern Western Australia. Winds will ease from Sunday as a
front passes southern WA, then strengthen again as a new ridge develops to the
south.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure centre near the western south coast extends a ridge over
southern parts of the state. The ridge will persist over the region for the
remainder of the week as the high pressure centre slowly moves east. A cold
front will then cross southwestern parts during Sunday, followed by another
ridge which will develop over southern WA from Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 23 July
Chance of a light shower over the far southeast Interior and the Eucla coast
this afternoon. Windy over northern and central parts.

Forecast for Friday 24 July
Chance of a light shower about the eastern Eucla coast. Patchy morning fog and
frosts over central and inland southern parts of the South West Land Division,
the southern Goldfields, and the Eucla district. Windy over northern and
central parts.

Forecast for Saturday 25 July
Chance of a shower about the southwest capes at night. Patchy morning frost
over the inland eastern and central South West Land Division, Goldfields, west
Eucla, South Interior, and far southern Gascoyne. Windy over northern and
central parts.

Forecast for Sunday 26 July
Chance of showers southwest of a line from Geraldton to Israelite Bay. Patchy
morning frost over the South Interior, far east Gascoyne, and northern
Goldfields. Windy over the southern South West Land Division, and over northern
parts in the morning.

Forecast for Monday 27 July
Chance of showers southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Eucla, retracting to the
south coast in the afternoon. Patchy morning frost about the South Interior,
northeast Gascoyne, and far southeast Pilbara.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Friday.
