Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough lies over the western Pilbara with a ridge to the south bringing
east to southeasterly winds over remaining northern parts.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak ridge over southern parts moves east ahead of a weak cold front brushing
the south coast later today and into Friday. A new ridge develops along the
south coast on Saturday, persisting into next week.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 9 July
Showers southwest of a line from Mandurah to Albany, extending to southwest of
a line Jurien Bay to Katanning to Bremer Bay during the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Friday 10 July
Isolated mostly coastal showers southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Israelite
Bay, and along the remaining coast north to Shark Bay and east to Caiguna.
Showers mostly clearing by evening. Patchy morning fog over the west Pilbara,
west Gascoyne and northern, western and central South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 11 July
Showers over southern districts, mostly clearing by evening. Patchy morning fog
over inland parts of the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, and
southern and central Goldfields.

Forecast for Sunday 12 July
Showers over southern coastal parts. Patchy morning fog over southern and
eastern parts of the South West Land Division, southern and central Goldfields,
Eucla and southern South Interior.

Forecast for Monday 13 July
Showers over southern coastal parts. Patchy morning fog over southern parts of
the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Friday.
