Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough extends along the Kimberley coast and through the west Pilbara
whilst a ridge over central Australia directs east to southeasterly winds over
much of the north. A cloud band lays over central and eastern parts on Tuesday,
then drift eastwards.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak trough lingers over the inland South West Land Division, decaying today
as a ridge becomes established over southeastern parts of the state. A weak
cold front brushes the south coast on Friday with a new ridge developing along
the south coast on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 7 July
Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm over the east Pilbara, far northeast
Gascoyne, and the Interior. Chance of showers over remaining parts of the
southern Kimberley and the South Coastal district.
Forecast for Wednesday 8 July
Chance of a shower over the southeast Kimberley and northeast Interior. The
chance of a light shower about the southwest capes in the morning, extending to
southwest of a line from Bunbury to Mount Barker to Bremer Bay in the
afternoon. Patchy morning fog in the inland southern and central South West
Land Division, southeast Goldfields and western Eucla. The chance of morning
frost in the western Eucla and adjacent districts.
Forecast for Thursday 9 July
Showers southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay, mostly likely from
Mandurah to Albany. Patchy morning fog over the southwest parts of the South
West Land Division, eastern Eucla, southeast Interior, western Pilbara, and
northwest Gascoyne.
Forecast for Friday 10 July
Showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division, with a
chance of a shower over remaining areas southwest of a line from Coral Bay to
Eucla. Patchy morning fog in the west Pilbara, west Gascoyne and the inland
South West Land Division.
Forecast for Saturday 11 July
Showers about the south coast of the state with a chance of a shower over
remaining areas south of Exmouth to Forrest. Patchy morning fog over inland
western parts of the South West Land Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Wednesday.
