Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough lies over the southern Kimberley and North Interior. The trough
will push north and extend along the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts on Saturday
as a high moves into the Great Australian Bight.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies along the south coast and will move into the Bight by Friday
evening. A cold front will cross the southwest of the state during Sunday
afternoon and evening, rapidly weakening as it moves further inland on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 3 July
Chance of a shower over southern and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division, the Eucla and southern parts of the Goldfields and South Interior.
Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm over the northeast Pilbara, North
Interior and northeastern parts of the South Interior.
Forecast for Saturday 4 July
Light showers about the south coast east of Albany, with the chance of a shower
for the southern Goldfields, Eucla and South East Coastal districts. Showers
over the southeast Kimberley and eastern parts of the Interior. Possible
morning fog over southern coastal districts east of Walpole and the southern
Goldfields. Windy morning across the Pilbara and Interior.
Forecast for Sunday 5 July
Showers developing southwest of Bunbury to Walpole in the morning, extending to
southwest of a line Geraldton to Bremer Bay by midnight. Possible thunderstorms
along the coast between Busselton and Augusta. Chance of a shower over the
southeast Kimberley. Windy morning across the North Interior and southern
Kimberley.
Forecast for Monday 6 July
Showers easing over the South West Land Division. Chance of showers over the
western Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields,
Interior and western Eucla. Possible morning fog over the Goldfields.
Forecast for Tuesday 7 July
Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm over the southeast Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne, western Interior and far northern Goldfields. Chance of showers over
remaining parts of the southern Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
Interior, Goldfields, Eucla and southern and eastern parts of the South West
Land Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Saturday.
