Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the eastern Pilbara and into the North Interior, while a
weak ridge extends into the western Pilbara.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep low pressure system continues moving well south of the state before the
next cold front moves over southern WA from late Monday and into Tuesday. A
further front will brush the south coast during Wednesday before a ridge
develops over southern parts of the state from Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 28 June
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, Goldfields,
Eucla, Interior, northeast Pilbara and southwest Kimberley. Showers contracting
to the coastal districts and eastern South Interior in the evening. Chance of
thunderstorms over the southeast Interior and eastern Eucla. Windy across the
south coast.
Forecast for Monday 29 June
Showers over the South West Land Division and southern Gascoyne. Chance of a
light shower or drizzle over the Goldfields, Eucla, southern and eastern
Interior and southwest Kimberley. Gusty thunderstorms possible along the coast
between Rockingham and Walpole during the evening. Possible early fog over the
inland Gascoyne and eastern parts of the South Interior. Becoming windy about
the southwest coast.
Forecast for Tuesday 30 June
Showers over the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla,
southern Interior and far west Pilbara. Gusty thunderstorms possible along the
coasts of the South West Land Division and Eucla, extending over the Southeast
Coastal district and southern Goldfields. Possible early fog over the inland
Gascoyne and eastern Interior. Windy about the central and southern parts of
the state
Forecast for Wednesday 1 July
Showers over the South West Land Division, more likely about the coast.
Possible shower over the far southern Gascoyne, southwest Goldfields, Eucla and
southeast South Interior. Windy near the south coast and over the Eucla.
Forecast for Thursday 2 July
Showers about the west and south coasts. Chance of a shower over the remaining
South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Monday.
