Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure system moving over southern WA will continue to direct dry
southeasterly winds over northern parts of the state for the next few days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system over the South West Land Division will slowly move east
over the weekend. A cold front will cross the South West Capes on Sunday
morning, weakening as it moves inland during the day. A ridge will extend south
of the state on Monday and Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 19 June
Light showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division, the southern
Goldfields, Eucla, and southern Interior.
Forecast for Saturday 20 June
Chance of a shower or drizzle about the south coast east of Esperance, the
eastern Goldfields, Eucla and southern Interior. Morning fog possible over
southern and inland parts of the South West Land Division, the southern
Goldfields and northwest Eucla. Early frost possible over the eastern Central
Wheat Belt and adjacent Goldfields.
Forecast for Sunday 21 June
Showers southwest of a line from Lancelin to Hopetoun with the chance of a
shower over remaining parts of the South West Land Division and western
Gascoyne. Possible morning fog over western parts of the Central Wheatbelt and
Great Southern.
Forecast for Monday 22 June
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of a shower
over the remainder of the South West Land Division, Goldfields, western Eucla
and southern Gascoyne.
Forecast for Tuesday 23 June
Showers over the South East Coastal district, southern Goldfields and south
coast. Chance of a shower over remaining parts of the South West Land Division,
the Goldfields, western Eucla and Gascoyne coast.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Saturday.
