Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge extending through the Kimberley will gradually weaken over the weekend.
A trough over the Pilbara and Interior is moving south and will deepen over the
next few days before moving east and weakening slowly over the weekend.
Associated cloud band will bring unseasonal rain to the Pilbara and Interior on
Thursday and Friday. The cloud band will continue to linger over the weekend
and clearing early next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough will deepen over southern WA on Thursday ahead of an approaching cold
front. Associated cloud band will bring widespread rainfall to the South West
Land Division, Gascoyne and Goldfields. The trough and cold front will move
east across southern districts on Friday, contracting the cloud band to central
and eastern parts of the state. The cloud band will gradually weaken over the
weekend but expected to linger until Monday A weak high pressure system will
quickly move across southern WA later Friday into Saturday, followed by another
cold front on Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 10 June
Light showers over the western districts of the South West Land Division and
eastern Pilbara. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over western and southern
parts of the Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 11 June
Rain and showers south of a line from Port Hedland to Warburton. Possible
thunderstorms over western Gascoyne, western Pilbara, eastern Goldfields,
eastern Eucla, northern parts of Central West, southern Interior and along the
southwest coast. Heavy falls are possible over the western Gascoyne and
northern parts of Central West. Possible morning fog over southwest Kimberley
and near the Pilbara coast. Windy over western Gascoyne and southwest Pilbara
at times.

Forecast for Friday 12 June
Light showers or drizzle over the South West Land Division, contracting to the
south coast in the afternoon. Rain and showers over the Gascoyne, Goldfields,
western and central Pilbara, and Eucla, clearing over southern Gascoyne and
southern Goldfields in the afternoon and evening. Possible thunderstorms over
the western Pilbara and northern Gascoyne with possible heavy falls. Chance of
a morning thunderstorm over southern parts of the South West and South Coastal
districts. Possible morning fog near the eastern Pilbara coast. Windy over the
southwest coast and south coast of the South West Land Division in the morning.
Windy over the Eucla and South Interior during the day.

Forecast for Saturday 13 June
Light showers near the Southwest Capes, extending to the South West district
and along the southern coast of Lower West during the day. Showers over the
Pilbara, northern Gascoyne, northern parts of the Goldfields and South
Interior. Chance of a thunderstorm near the southwest coast in the evening.
Areas of morning frost through inland parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields, western Eucla and far southern parts of the Gascoyne.
Windy about the southwest coast in the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Sunday 14 June
Showers across much of the South West Land Division, Pilbara, Gascoyne,
Goldfields, southern Interior and Eucla. Chance of a thunderstorm near the
southwest coast. Morning frost possible through eastern parts of the Central
Wheat Belt and adjacent southwest Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Thursday.
