Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge extends into the Kimberley and will persist through the weekend as a
weak trough lies over the western part of the Pilbara. The trough will progress
further east into the Pilbara early in the week as a new ridge develops over
the western part of the region.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak ridge lies over the area with a weak trough over the Goldfields. A pair
of cold fronts will pass through the southern part of the State during Monday
and into early Tuesday as the trough starts moving eastward again. Another
ridge will establish itself later Tuesday and through Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 7 June
Showers developing late afternoon and evening near the west coast. Chance of a
shower over the northeast Gascoyne.

Forecast for Monday 8 June
Showers extending across the South West Land Division, southwestern Gascoyne,
western Pilbara during the day. Chance of a shower developing over the northern
Goldfields, and southwest South Interior. Chance of a thunderstorm over western
parts of the South West Land Division. A period of moderate to heavy falls over
west coastal districts during the afternoon and evening. Becoming windy across
southern and central parts of the state.

Forecast for Tuesday 9 June
Showers extending across much of WA to be southwest of a line from Broome to
Giles, with showers more frequent south of Carnarvon. Possible thunderstorms
along the south coast, northern Central West district, Southern Interior,
eastern Goldfields, and Eucla. Possible small hail south of a line from Augusta
to Bremer Bay. Morning fog possible over the northern Pilbara. Windy across
southern and central parts of the state.

Forecast for Wednesday 10 June
Showers near the west and south coasts, east Pilbara and Interior. Chance of a
shower along the west Pilbara and Gascoyne coasts. Possible morning fog over
the central and eastern Pilbara, southwest Kimberley, South Interior and inland
western parts of the South West Land Division. Early morning frost possible
over the inland central and eastern South West Land Division and far south
Goldfields.

Forecast for Thursday 11 June
Showers southwest of a line from Port Hedland to Warburton. Possible
thunderstorms over the western Gascoyne, eastern Goldfields and parts of the
South Interior. Possible morning fog over the northern Pilbara and northwest
Kimberley.
