Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak ridge will persist over the northern districts until the weekend,
maintaining east to northeasterly winds.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front is approaching the southwest as a ridge moves east out of the
state. A new ridge will extend over southern WA on Friday before another front
approaches from the west during Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 27 May
Showers southwest of a line Perth to Albany, extending to Shark Bay to Bremer
Bay during the afternoon and evening. Chance of a gusty thunderstorm southwest
of Bunbury to Walpole, extending to Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay during the
afternoon and evening. Isolated heavy falls possible over the South West and
southern parts of the Lower West districts. Windy about the southwest coast.
Forecast for Thursday 28 May
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern and southwestern Gascoyne,
Goldfields and Eucla, more frequent over the Central West, western parts of the
Central Wheat Belt and northern parts of the Lower West. Rainfall easing across
the South West Land Division in the afternoon and evening. Chance of a morning
thunderstorm over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division.
Chance of morning fog over eastern Eucla and adjacent South Interior. Windy
about the southwest coast and south coast of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Friday 29 May
Light showers or drizzle areas over western and southern parts of the south
West Land Division, southern and southwest Gascoyne and northwest Goldfields,
more frequent about the west and south coasts. Chance of morning fog over
inland parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Saturday 30 May
Showers over much of the South West Land Division, southern and western
Gascoyne, and Goldfields, more frequent over the western districts. Chance of a
thunderstorm about the coast between Geraldton and Cape Leeuwin. Chance of
morning fog over inland southwestern and central parts of the South West Land
Division and Eucla. Becoming windy about the west and southwest coasts in the
afternoon and evening.
Forecast for Sunday 31 May
Showers southwest of about Karratha to Forrest, more frequent over the South
West Land Division and southwest Gascoyne. Chance of thunderstorms about
coastal and adjacent inland parts between Lancelin to Bremer Bay. Windy over
central and southern parts, very windy over the South West Land Division.
